Shipping and transport

For logistical reasons the packages will be shipped once a week and only to countries within the European Union, with the exception of Malta and Cyprus. You can order shipping until Monday. Packages will be prepared on Tuesday, shipping will take place on Wednesday. Depending the destination, your package will arrive within a few days.

Upon buying on the World Whisky Index
There a 2 shipping options you can choose (see table). After having received the fees involved, the World Whisky Index will take care of shipment or delivery.

Note: For all countries outside the EU, as well as for Malta and Cyprus, clients have to arrange their own transport company. For these countries we can arrange the packaging and the preparation of the shipment. Costs are € 5,-- per bottle with a minimum of € 10,-- per shipment.

The bottles are shipped without an invoice because the bottles are sold by the investors or collectors, not by the WWI.

Prior to selling
Any bottle to be put up for sale needs to be send (or delivered) to the World Whisky Index. The  World Whisky Index will take care of the insured stockage of your bottle(s). Below you will find some do's and don'ts in order to minimise the chances of damage during transport:

  1. Use packaging of the correct size. Space left between bottle(s) and packaging should be minimal. Use additional filling material to fill any spaces left.
  2. If you send more than one bottle at the time, please use additional filling material to make sure that the bottles do not touch eachother.
  3. Do not advertise the contents of your parcel!

We are not responsable for any damaging or loss of bottles during transport to Scotch Whisky International.
